The original game
Original game: Modern Warfare 2 × Skate 3 (clean-room tribute)
chasmlol's 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup was one of the defining fan mash-ups of 2026: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, Skate-style skating and a Minecraft world in one game. It is a PC mod that needs the real games. MW2 x Skate recreates the MW2 and Skate part for the browser without any of their files.
The browser version
On foot it runs IW4L's open-source Rust rewrite of MW2's player movement: sprint, jump, crouch, prone and mantle. Create-a-Class offers the ACR, M4A1, UMP45 or Intervention, a USP .45 or SPAS-12 and a perk from each tier, with frags, smoke and a UAV at three kills.
Press J (or click both sticks) to drop onto a board running the Skate 3 Rust engine. Taking fire knocks you back on foot. Maps are the engine's clean-room Skate 3 parks. Guns use published MW2 stats, and sounds, menus and HUD are original.

How to play it
- Open the game in Chrome or Edge on desktop. It needs WebGPU.
- Build a class and start a match against bots.
- Press J to drop onto the board, and Esc to pause.

Does it use MW2 or Skate 3 files?
No. Everything is open-source or clean-room, with guns tuned to published numbers.
Why won't it start?
It needs WebGPU. Use a current Chrome or Edge on desktop.
Is it the 2010 Rust Rewrite Mashup?
No. It is a browser tribute to that mod, not the mod itself.
Is it official?
No. It has no connection with Activision or EA.
