Quick answer
GTA-style city chaos with Minecraft-style blocks: steal cars, rack up a five-star wanted level, then break and place blocks anywhere, or wall off the street to stop the chase. It's a clean-room tribute to the Minecraft-in-GTA V mods, with no game files.

Original game: Minecraft × GTA V (clean-room tribute)
Several 2026 mods put Minecraft's building into GTA V's Los Santos, including Rehan Sheikh's universal-modder project, and clips of block towers in the middle of traffic spread fast. Block City is an original browser game built on that idea.
The browser version
The city has traffic, carjacking, a five-star wanted level and police that chase and shoot. Every surface takes blocks: break and place them anywhere, carve the block layer with TNT, wreck cars, or build a wall across a street to end a chase. There is also a block quarry for materials.
It is built in Rust and Bevy and compiled to WebAssembly, with original code and CC0 or self-made assets.
| Modes | Open-world crime plus voxel building |
|---|---|
| Systems | Traffic, carjacking, five-star wanted level, armed police |
| Blocks | Break and place anywhere; TNT wrecks the block layer and cars |
| Engine | Rust + Bevy compiled to WebAssembly |
| Browser | Desktop, WebGPU with WebGL2 fallback; ~60–120 MB first load |
| Game data | None: original code and CC0 or self-made assets |
How to play it
- Open the game in a desktop browser. The first load is about 60–120 MB.
- Press E to steal a car. WASD drives and Space is the handbrake.
- Left-click to break blocks, right-click to place them, and press T for TNT. Tab shows every control.
Questions
Is this GTA V with Minecraft?
No. It is an original tribute to those mods and needs neither game.
Can blocks stop the police?
Yes. Build a wall across the street and the chase ends there.
